The beginning

blah blah blah....naturally had to be the opening words of my blog. I was torn between chosing a more profound, and an unconventional, yet simple name for my blog. The latter came to my mind without much effort. So, this is essentially going to be a spot for whatever comes to my mind ,without much deliberate effort at thinking. However, a concious effort would be to balance the random blathering with an ocassional serious thought on issues which touch me.

About myself, Iam a teacher from India, presently in the US. Owing to our defence background(my father was in the armed froces), we travelled all over the country. In just first nine years of education, I had been to seven different schools. Every two years we moved lock, stock n barrel. The whole idea of a new place and new set of friends is ever so exciting. Now this is so in my blood, that I can't imagine myself in a place for more than two years. If nothing else then a local shifting would also satisfy the urge to move. Our longest tenure has been in Delhi, where we stayed put since my tenth grade. That explains my love for the city and its culture. I went to college in Delhi, both North and South Campus. My first job was right after Bachelors in Education and was good fun. I stuck to that job for the next five years, acquired a Master's while I was teaching. Then, went on to marry my childhood sweetheart ( a friend from ninth grade).And have been following him since then.

My next few posts would vary from anything latest to winters, love, friendship, food,Delhi, Indians in the US, life of a wife of an MBA student, movies, books,dogs, photography, drifting thoughts, economic recession, shopping, travelling.....
